Knocked Out but Still Alive

What a way to finish off the term! Being hit with a rather serious colon virus infection, I finished off the final week of the term in the hospital not being able to do much. Started having stomach cramps at the very Friday last week (TGIF anyone?) and got discharged this very Friday as well (TGIF anyone?). I was hit with fever like how a rollercoaster track goes about and the stupid virus prevented me from eating anything. Occasional pains can be felt under my tummy (no it is not a baby) and there was this ever present bloated feeling. Hospitalized for roughly 4 days but sick for almost a week. No fun, it was no fun at all. Continue reading →

Thank God It’s The Weekend

TGIF and TGITW. I’ve started to appreciate these acronyms much more this year. If you are not sure what it is, you must be living a stress-free life filled with fun every single day. Anyways, TGIF stands for Thank God It’s Friday and TGITW stands for Thank God It’s The Weekend. So why exactly have I come to appreciate them more? I’ve been using it almost unforgettably every Friday, whether is it on my twitter or just verbally saying it to friends and family. A Sluggish Start in Year 2011

The start of this year isn’t so favorable for me. The main causing agent is probably due to being late for school for almost a quarter of the amount of school days that had passed. Man, it is really tough. Not sure why but just kept going to school late, later and latest. Ah but it is fun trying to avoid getting booked and stuff, but nonetheless it sure spoils the whole day if I do get caught. It sucks but I’m going to try change the situation. Holidays Again! A Month Shorter

The holidays are here again. People start going overseas, start going out, start partying, and start doing all kinds of stuff. Well, not exactly all kinds people but mostly the student population. Yeah, school is out and it is time to go wild! Not as wild as the previous few years though where we got a full 2 month break which is awesome. This time though, holidays barely a month and a half plus the addition of project work and stupid philosophy which means it theoretically should be much shorter. Continue reading →

Results Out Happiness Gone

Examination results were released days ago and of course that means that reality starts kicking in again. Until I get to pass that re-examination I’ll be worrying my ass off, while I should be at least. Anyways, I think I did pretty okay, nothing too spectacular or extremely terrible. If I were to compare with the rest of the cohort I would say a little below average? Yeah, not really average I guess, since it is a little bit lower than that of other people whose subject combination seems to be of much higher difficulty to that of mine. Of particular horribleness are the subjects Physics and Math which I both did rather badly. Continue reading →

Exams Over! At Least For Now

I have not update since 2 weeks ago. Exactly, if you followed my twitter during those 2 weeks you understand how much I was struggling with studying and playing. Examination period is not only a test of intelligence, but also discipline and I have none of them. Anyways, at least it is over for now. All my subjects are pretty fine (when I say “fine” it means passable) except for my 2 major subjects: Physics and Mathematics. Why major? Cause they are taken at the higher level, H2 whichever you call it. I think I’ll probably not do well in both, passing would be an overstatement. Continue reading →

Ironically, the title coincides and relates with the Chinese 7th month, the ghost festival. Anyways today I’m writing not to talk about the ghost festival but more of school work and stuff. This month has been insane; or rather these past two weeks have been hectic and totally seem to destroy me mentally. Of course blame me for doing stuff last minute, but still all the deadlines are placed one after another and presentation slots allocated as well. It is crazy, philosophy presentation yesterday, English presentation today. Blame my luck though since my lucky random pick got me to the last slot of the class for English. Continue reading →
