My first time experience with eBay’s (not so new) Global Shipping Program (GSP) is through my purchase of a 2nd hand graphics card from a seller based in the US. I made this purchase a week and a half ago and the graphics card arrived yesterday. I am pleased to say that it is in good condition. I have to say though that my research on the GSP after my purchase got me really worried. Read on to find out why.

Why All the Windows 8 Hate
I have been using Windows 8.1 for quite some time already. It is close to 3 weeks and I have not yet face any ground breaking issues. Incompatibility is pretty much a non-issue and I got every software and hardware working properly. I have to admit that I was slightly afraid of changing from Windows 7 after reading all the horrible reviews and opinions of others. I am glad though that it isn’t that bad as people make it out to be.
FIFA 14 (PS3 & XBOX360) Impressions
FIFA 14 marks yet another transitioning phase of EA Sports’ FIFA franchise. There are the “next-gen†and “current-gen†branches of the game. This happened for quite some time for the PC version (08 to 10). It basically housed an aged engine that was absolutely abysmal when compared to the “next-gen†console version then. This time around with the Playstation 4 and Xbox One coming year end, EA Sports have yet again branched out the engines in a way that the PS4 and XBone have the newer engine. With that said, current-gen FIFA 14 is still an improvement over FIFA 13. Read on for some of my thoughts of the game.
ChicagoVPS Impressions (3 Months)
I’ve “used†ChicagoVPS (CVPS) for slightly more than 3 months now. That is a quarter of a year so I guess this will be a rather fair gauge of their services. CVPS is a web host provider; their main attraction is their insanely low price (even in the low end budget hosts market). Looking at the prices I’m paying for my previous host and comparing that to the prices offered by CVPS, I’ve decided to switch despite the mixed reviews from people.
PC Fifa 11 Demo Impressions
It is the time of the year again, the time when gamers who love the beautiful sport of football get to enjoy both the sport itself in a virtual gaming context. Yes, the release of the next Fifa game by EA Sports is just round the corner. Year after year since 2007, EA Sports have effectively tweaked and refined the gameplay and graphics of the Fifa video game franchise, raising the bar each time it releases a new title. However, this wasn’t the case for PC gamers. PC gamers were simply treated to the same old disgusting gameplay and boring graphics repackaged into the new boxes time and again. Next-gen was the cries of the gamers, the PC couldn’t support the engine was the supposed reason by the developers. The PC is less powerful than the consoles? I highly doubt so. I believe it is just a mere excuse for laziness or simply them not wanting to invest in the PC market. This time round, things are about to change. Fifa 11 PC version is about to hop onto the next-gen engine console gamers have enjoyed for the past 2 to 3 years. This is it. Continue reading
YouthMEDIA – Blog Promotion Network
YouthMEDIA is yet another blog promotion network. Its purpose is roughly the same as of the ever popular EntreCard; to promote your site at others site. Instead of using credits etc to buy spaces on people’s site, YouthMEDIA allows webmasters to simply show their website randomly on other users’ site. Basically it is like a two way traffic whereby you have to show other people’s website in order for them to show yours. This is ordinary and nothing so special but what actually makes me dedicate this featured post for this service is mainly because of the local audience. I’ve been seeing more and more local start-ups catering to international (but of course having a bigger local member base) audience as well as that of the locals. When I say local I am referring to the neighbouring countries Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan etc (somewhere in that region). Continue reading
Hellgate London Demo Impressions
Just tested out Hellgate London Demo and I have mixed impressions and thoughts for the game. This article you are currently reading is somewhat a review of the demo and what I think and expect for the full release that will be happening later in the year. Some basic background information about Hellgate London; it is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) and somewhat have an action based battle system. Therefore, there will not be any click and then wait for your character to finish the opponent. You have the strike with strategy and timing is required for you to escape from enemy’s attack. That is rather brief so here is a quote about the storyline and features of the game:
“It’s 2038, and London lies in ruins…
From Flagship Studios – creators of the award-winning Diablo® series and the fathers of the action role playing genre – comes HellGate: London, the next benchmark in the evolution of the RPG genre.
Combining the depth of traditional RPGs with the frenetic, visceral feel of first-person shooters, HellGate: London offers infinite replayability with dynamically created levels, monsters, items and events that gives each player their own unique hack-and-slash experience.
A post-apocalyptic London has been overrun by hordes of terrifying demons, leaving the city desolate and scorched by hellfire. Those who were unlucky enough to survive now gather in the only sanctuary left, the Underground, banding together in order to gain a foothold against the minions of darkness and ultimately save the bloodline of humanity.
It is no surprise that these sole survivors come from three of society’s most elite factions, each of whom are masters of a robust number of skills and weapons essential to demon-thrashing.
