DotA Movie – TerrorBlade’s Revenge

Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is an extremely popular custom map made using the Warcraft 3 engine. Yes, the Warcraft 3 engine and the game itself is old, very old but the custom map DotA lives on up till today. Widely popular and still is popular all around the world. You get competitions of global scale (i.e. World Cyber Games) and many other newer games being built on the concept that made DotA so addictive. There other games out there such as Heroes of Newerth, HoN, League of Legends, LoL and probably the upcoming DotA 2 (by Valve by the way) all based on heroes and those 3 lanes of awesomeness. Anyways like all popular games you expect to see insane modifications and external uses of them. We’ve got the Angry Birds comedy, Metal Gear Solid and Modern Warfare short parody films and so on. This time around we have a DotA movie, a movie of the life of TerrorBlade, a hero within the game. Continue reading

iPhone Stack the Countries Review

Stack the Countries is developed by the same person who did the other educational games like Rocket Math and Stack the States. If you’ve played Stack the States, Stack the Countries is the exact same thing but with a focus on an international global scale rather than just the states within the United States of America. Anyways, Stack the Countries is an educational game that is designed to teach children, or rather players, about the different countries around the world. You get to learn about the different capitals, the major landmarks and unique features of that particular country. Continue reading

Knocked Out but Still Alive

What a way to finish off the term! Being hit with a rather serious colon virus infection, I finished off the final week of the term in the hospital not being able to do much. Started having stomach cramps at the very Friday last week (TGIF anyone?) and got discharged this very Friday as well (TGIF anyone?). I was hit with fever like how a rollercoaster track goes about and the stupid virus prevented me from eating anything. Occasional pains can be felt under my tummy (no it is not a baby) and there was this ever present bloated feeling. Hospitalized for roughly 4 days but sick for almost a week. No fun, it was no fun at all. Continue reading

Krush – A Short 3D Animation

Krush, the title of a shortt 3D animation film that I have recently come across while browsing youtube. The story of Krush goes along the lines of garbage eating monsters and humans. What can possibly happen? Watch to find out. Oh and please, the first few minutes of the video may look as if it is catered for children aged 7 and below, but in all honesty it isn’t. Parental guidance is definitely appreciated. Without further ado, read on for the video! Continue reading

iPad Elixir Master HD Review

Elixir Master HD is the iPad version of Elixir Master for the iPhone. The main difference between the HD version and the normal one lies in the interface and graphical aspect. Of course the iPad HD version has graphics of, higher definition. Other than that the gameplay and game content is pretty much similar to the iPhone version. Elixir Master is a game where players have to make potions to serve their customers. It is not so simple though as customers are grumpy, impatient and there are many other obstacles in your way. Continue reading

Thank God It’s The Weekend

TGIF and TGITW. I’ve started to appreciate these acronyms much more this year. If you are not sure what it is, you must be living a stress-free life filled with fun every single day. Anyways, TGIF stands for Thank God It’s Friday and TGITW stands for Thank God It’s The Weekend. So why exactly have I come to appreciate them more? I’ve been using it almost unforgettably every Friday, whether is it on my twitter or just verbally saying it to friends and family. Yes, I’ve come to love and appreciate weekends much more simply because weekdays are killing me. Continue reading

Khan Academy
When one thinks of online learning, Khan Academy would be one of the first names to pop up. If you didn’t know what Khan Academy is, it is basically a not for profit online organisation founded by the brilliant Salman Khan.
