Lego bricks are building blocks for great sculptures, models and all kinds of things. They come in various form and sizes, allowing you to mix and match to your heart’s content. I’ve come across several marvellous works and art pieces based off Lego bricks. What I’ve never seen before though is the use of these hard Lego pieces to create pop-up art. Raging Over Video Games

We’ve all seen videos capturing gamers’ rage. Some of such videos showcase the smashing of keyboards, the screaming at a lifeless monitor screen, the verbal abuse and vulgarities galore and many many more. My god have I been raging lately over video games as well. There are some games that I take quite seriously as I play them somewhat amateurishly competitively. One of them that is making me burn like mad is the game from slotzo, I just can’t get over it. No it is not the game that is screwing up, it is more like the backend hardware technicalities behind the game that is causing all the rage. Continue reading

Having setup and run SwiftNAS (my home’s DIY NAS) for little over a week already, I thought it would be nice to share with you a little of my experience in the form of a comparison against a commercial solution. DIY NAS – Purchasing and Assembly

Purchasing the different components and parts of the NAS requires some thinking and deliberation.  While all parts should work as long as they’re paired correctly (e.g socket 1156 motherboard with a socket 1156 cpu), some parts are “better” than others. When I say “better” I mean they are more value for money or if they serve a particular purpose more effectively. I’ve spent quite some time researching on the different parts available locally before coming to the decision which encompasses of the parts listed in this post. Continue reading
