Boring Start of School

Start of school has been nothing but boring. I guess it is because all these activities we are currently doing are fantastic “enrichment” programmes. Maybe because official date for Junior Colleges to start is two days later and the full cohort of my level has yet to arrive thus they played down on the stuff that we are doing. I think it’ll be much more fun once everyone comes. Bah that just means that once everyone settles in a week time school is going to start doing what schools are built for; knowledge, study, examinations and stress. Continue reading

New Year 2010

Happy New Year! I’m kind of late I guess… Anyways, the new year has finally arrived. Don’t really know if that is a good thing since school is about to start. Ah… the 3 months of break finally ending. That just reminded me, when exactly does school starts? I know it ain’t tomorrow but when exactly… Hmm… I think I better ask a friend before it is too late. As always when a new year arrives, we set ourselves with new goals, aims and expectations. Continue reading

Weeks to Year 2010

Just a few more weeks before the year of 2009 comes to a close. Lots of things happened this year both for myself and the development of the website. Haven’t been updating much about my own personal life because there aren’t much interesting things that have happened recently or about to that is worth talking about. But anyways, thought it might be nice to just to think about the year 2009 that is about to end and reflect on things as well as think about year 2010 and what I should do better and stuff. Kind of like a yearly reflection thingy and a new year resolution (I don’t really follow whatever I set anyways, maybe I should start trying to work towards it). Continue reading

Final Battle 2009

Ready! Set…. Fi… I ain’t ready yet. I can’t set myself. I can’t fight. Bloody hell, it is just 3 days more till the start of the final battle of 2009. This battle would most probably be the same for almost every student who are currently studying (I don’t think it applies to university students). It is the end of year examinations, the most important examination of the whole year. Awesome stuff are always packed for the last. Continue reading

The Pot Calling the Kettles Black

The Pans and Pots
I am the pot, and I go around calling the other kettles black. Not only do I call them black, I tell them how they were useless, how they can’t perform tasks as efficiently as me. How I can boil water faster than them, how my material was of top quality and theirs of rubbish. I go around, doing that often feeling high about myself. I go around, humiliating the kettles, making them feel useless.

ONE DAY, I decided to have a match between one of the kettles and me. The competition was about boiling water. Whoever can boil the water the fastest, wins. So we both set off, filling ourselves with equal amount of water. We plugged ourselves into the electric socket and set on the switch. There we go, racing against time trying to beat one another. I tried my best, to boil the water. Continue reading

Happy Teachers’ Day 2009

The actual day itself is supposed to be tomorrow, the 1st of September. But of course, it is better to be early than late, it is better to do it now than never (was worried that I might feel lazy tomorrow). Today, the school celebrated as well with tomorrow being a holiday for all staff and students. Teachers’ Day is always special to different students and the different studying stages they are currently in.

I remembered that during my primary school days, teachers’ day was the day where lessons wouldn’t be carried out at all.  My friends would come to school earlier to do up the blackboard (Yes, during my primary school time, we still used chalk and the blackboard.), using chalks of different colours, they would design some kind of greetings to our teachers. That itself, obstructs teachers from using the board thus they simply let us have free time during lessons.  It has almost been the same since Primary 4, where the board always gets filled up with beautiful wordings and greetings. After that, we would have some performances and stuff like that before actually finally going home. Continue reading
