Too bad I ain’t that influential enough for one of the PR guys to respond to me. Oh well, at least they did reply to my support ticket that I send to them. Within it I did put a link to the article that explains the situation in detail. Knowing that they will not give a damn at all, I gave a brief write-up of the situation I am facing. Guess what they’re response is? Read on to find out how they dealt with a complaining customer. Continue reading

Be Careful of Singapore Sony Playstation Service Center
Here is the very brief outline of whatever that has happened. A few months back, my Playstation 3 (PS3) encountered a rather common problem, the yellow light of death (YLOD). The playstation just would not boot up, giving beeps and a yellow light after that. The first thing came into my mind was to bring it to the service center to see the problem. After a few weeks, they called and told us their diagnosis, the motherboard had failed. Changing the motherboard would set us back over $200, a price which we decided was not worth to pay. Went to the service center, got back my PS3 after paying for their initial diagnosis. Fair enough, brought it back home and never tried to on it again. Today, I’ve just discovered (Yes how stupid I am to not know this in the first place) a probable fix for the YLOD. Tried to turn on the PS3 and to my horror, there was no power at all. No light, no nothing. How? From a PS3 that had lights and beeping, to a dead black brick (after their “servicingâ€/â€diagnosisâ€). Continue reading
Holidays Again! A Month Shorter
The holidays are here again. People start going overseas, start going out, start partying, and start doing all kinds of stuff. Well, not exactly all kinds people but mostly the student population. Yeah, school is out and it is time to go wild! Not as wild as the previous few years though where we got a full 2 month break which is awesome. This time though, holidays barely a month and a half plus the addition of project work and stupid philosophy which means it theoretically should be much shorter. Continue reading
Results Out Happiness Gone
Examination results were released days ago and of course that means that reality starts kicking in again. Until I get to pass that re-examination I’ll be worrying my ass off, while I should be at least. Anyways, I think I did pretty okay, nothing too spectacular or extremely terrible. If I were to compare with the rest of the cohort I would say a little below average? Yeah, not really average I guess, since it is a little bit lower than that of other people whose subject combination seems to be of much higher difficulty to that of mine. Of particular horribleness are the subjects Physics and Math which I both did rather badly. Continue reading
Exams Over! At Least For Now
I have not update since 2 weeks ago. Exactly, if you followed my twitter during those 2 weeks you understand how much I was struggling with studying and playing. Examination period is not only a test of intelligence, but also discipline and I have none of them. Anyways, at least it is over for now. All my subjects are pretty fine (when I say “fine†it means passable) except for my 2 major subjects: Physics and Mathematics. Why major? Cause they are taken at the higher level, H2 whichever you call it. I think I’ll probably not do well in both, passing would be an overstatement. Continue reading
Hell Month
Ironically, the title coincides and relates with the Chinese 7th month, the ghost festival. Anyways today I’m writing not to talk about the ghost festival but more of school work and stuff. This month has been insane; or rather these past two weeks have been hectic and totally seem to destroy me mentally. Of course blame me for doing stuff last minute, but still all the deadlines are placed one after another and presentation slots allocated as well. It is crazy, philosophy presentation yesterday, English presentation today. Blame my luck though since my lucky random pick got me to the last slot of the class for English. Continue reading
A Dilemma When Offering Seats
To give or not to give, that is the question. The government, organizations, people and intuition encourages us or rather urges us to make the right decision. See an old man or lady, give up your seat. See a pregnant lady, give up your seat. See anyone that seem to need the seat more than you do, give up your seat. The only problem that I have is does that person really need the seat? Or rather, is that person actually pregnant, or just fat? Continue reading
