“Life is like a novel, you are the author and every day is a new page.†There are several major chapters in people’s life, and for me another chapter has come to an end. Whether my story will branch off to a positive or negative route heavily depends on how well I have written this particular chapter. This chapter of course is where I take my major examinations, the International Baccalaureate, and depending on how well I’ve performed, chances of entering the university of my choice will vary accordingly.
Oh well no need to worry that much though since I will have to spend 2 years in the army serving and learning how to defend my country. As much as I don’t really approve of that I don’t really have any other choices. Its compulsory and I just got to do it. Regarding the exams, I believe I will do average. I’ve screwed up some papers, felt weird about others and think I did well for one or two. Average that out and I guess it’ll be average. I’m really hoping that my calculations and gut feeling is right, else… oh well life has many routes. There are many ways to write a story. No need to follow the cheesy cliché ones I guess. Yes, that is how I console myself if I do poorly.
Anyways, its 2 months of break before start of some gruelling physical and nation loving activities. 22 months of army life awaits me, how exciting. A note to myself: Got to make good use of these 2 months of break. Planning to learn how to program an app for android and maybe by the end of this 2 months produce a simple one that works. Also going to go complete all that backlog of games I’ve accumulated over the past few months and years. Lastly, going to do some exercising in preparation for all the physical hardships later on. Sounds like a good plan to me, just got to execute it. Better not fall into my usual self of talk only no action. It is a new chapter yea, time to write it and write it well.
To end off, I’ll share with you one of my recent favourite quote: “I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed in all. Now he is an engineer in Microsoft and I am the owner of Microsoft.†~Bill Gates. A foreshadowing! Yeah right just consoling my sad self again.
